Salmon
AED - President / Founder

Adam came
to Sri Lanka from Seattle, Washington, in 1994 and started
a for-profit publishing company producing and exporting
text books. Seeing the incredible need for education among
marginalized children throughout Sri Lanka, Adam founded
Asiana Education Development (AED), which is now an approved
NGO (non governmental organization) by the Sri Lankan
government and is also an approved IRS 501 (c)3. Today,
AED operates 80 schools throughout Sri Lanka serving more
than 7,000 children. AED also built and operate two leadership
academies (formerly called children’s homes/orphanages);
one for orphan boys (Kalapuwa Sri) and for orphan girls
(Samudra Sri). Adam serves as President of AED and holds
a masters degree in psychology from Seattle University
and is currently working on his doctorate.

Jeff Prickett
Mr. Jeff Prickett, from Bozeman, Montana, has served as
a board member for AED since the inception. Jeff owns
a prominent contracting company building custom homes
in the Galatin Valley, and has been instrumental in building
projects undertaken by AED in Sri Lanka. Jeff is married
to Stacey, and they have 5 children. Jeff enjoys coaching
Little League in his spare time. Jeff Prickett can be

Tim
Zello
Mr.
Tim Zello currently resides in Virginia near Washington,
D.C. and works with TCI, a non-profit organization establishing
drug and rehabilitation programs for marginalized teenagers
and young adults throughout the world. Tim, along with
his wife Michelle, have lived in various parts of the
world, including Moscow, Russia and Ulaan Baatar, Mongolia.

David Boschen
Mr.
David Boschen, is a child therapist in Santa Cruz County,
California, and also operates a non-profit adoption agency
called “Hand to Hand.” David along with his
wife, Edie, is active in helping marginalized children in
both Sri Lanka and Romania; they have 3 children of their
own, all living in the Santa Cruz area. David holds a graduate

Janet Salmon
Janet
Salmon is cofounder of AED, and lives in Seattle, Washington,
where she works as an RN at the University of Washington
Medical Center. Janet previously lived in Sri Lanka for
more than 10 years, raising three children and working in
marginalized communities throughout the country. Janet has
also worked in both Brazil, and Zimbabwe, caring for HIV
patients and delivering babies in a rural medical clinic.

Jeff
Kelderman
Jeff
Kelderman serves as a pastor in Sacramento, California,
and travels with teams throughout the world helping marginalized
people in some of the neediest countries. Jeff exhibits
a high degree of competency in administration coupled with
compassion. Jeff, along with his wife, is committed to making
a difference in the lives of forgotten children everywhere.

Karen
Phelps Moyer
Karen
Moyer is the co-founder and Vice President of The Moyer
Foundation and is a dedicated mother of six children as
well as a successful entrepreneur. Karen, along with her
husband, Jamie (former Seattle Mariner All Star and current
MLB starting pitcher for the Philadelphia Phillies) are
strong supporters of AED, and believes in AED’s mission
of reaching forgotten children in South Asia. Karen holds
a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame,

David Tortora
David
Tortora has served on AED’s board for more than 7
years, and currently serves as AED’s Executive Director.
David has worked with and directed non profit organizations
for more than 20 years. He enjoys using his skills in communication
and administration to help empower children in need. David
resides with his wife, Kim, in Scotts Valley, California.
They enjoy a full life with their five children and four
grandchildren. David holds Bachelor's degree and

Nilanthi
Gamage
Ms.
Nilanthi Gamage is from the northern part of Sri Lanka and
resides near the capital city, Colombo. Nilanthi was educated
in one of the best girl’s college in Sri Lanka, located
in the mountain city of Kandy, and holds an accounting degree.
Nilanthi has worked in the financial field for more than
20 years, and has been on the board of directors for AED
since 1998. Nilanthi is married to Didul, and they have
